The Bridesmaids
Here are my thoughts for my bridesmaids. Dark blue, tea-length (just below knee). Other than that, I'm not very specific about what dress or style. I want it to be a dress you can wear for the wedding that you look fabulous in and wear to a nice place some other time so you get your monies worth. Speaking of monies worth, I also don't want you to spend a ton of money on this one dress.
You see, our favors are dark blue and silver, which look really nice. And honestly, if I could pay for the dresses myself, I'd like to do something like this (but with our colors):
So, I'd like to do dark blue dresses with silver accents, I think. If you want to go shopping with me (if we're in the same town at the time!) then WONDERFUL. Otherwise, I'm going to spend some time looking around for cheap/affordable dresses online or in stores. And if you find something, or a sale or whatever that you'd like to share with the other bridesmaids then let me know and I'll post it.
I'm also toying with the thought of having my mom make some of the dresses. I would love for her to be able to have a hand in the wedding and she's pretty great with the 'ol sewing machine.

I dun did it.
I bought another dress!!
I know! Me crazy! But I'm confident I can sell the other one for even more than I paid for it, hopefully, if not, AT LEAST what I paid for it. Of course I'm waiting to do anything until I get the new dress in my hands and on my body. And it's the same dress that started the whole thing! A different seller on ebay posted a handful of Maggie Sottero dresses and there it was. The Alyssa. The most "Annie" of all the dresses I've seen at half the price it should be.
I did it. I bought it. It's on it's way to me. The tracking info says I should get it by Monday, so let's keep our fingers crossed. Blee!

1 Down
We finally agreed on something! We bought our wedding favors!!
The LEAST important of all items. We don't have our save the dates out, we haven't confirmed the hotels for guests, and our officiant doesn't know he's our officiant yet, but we ordered our wedding favors today!
AND THEY WERE ON SALE!
AND I GOT AN EXTRA 10% DISCOUNT!!!
It's funny because I guess a handful of couples don't do favors anymore because they are usually very expensive and have no practical use. So we don't even NEED to buy them ever, but what's done is done. Haha.
Do you guys want to be surprised about anything? Or do you want me to tell you what it is? I realize the blog leaves no surprises.

Time to think about colors.
I wish dumb little details like this were more fun. Maybe they're not because Fred and I don't agree on everything.
In fact: Fred is going out of his way to dislike my suggestions, only to propose my very own idea back to me a few weeks later. It's sooooo annoying. He hates anything I say and his opinion sucks, but it's opposite of mine, so I guess that's why.
I told him before I loved Green. Green had to be in my wedding. He wanted blue. Now that we have our place and there's so much green everywhere, I said, let's do blue! And he said "I like green!". Seriously. What the hell? Anywho, I'm actually gunning for the dark blue in the photos below. So, of course, he prefers the light blue. Maybe I should say I love the light blue so he'll pick the dark blue.
Anyway, these are some of the color choices we're offered. I know it's hard to tell over poorly taken photos via email, but it's the best I got. Below are samples of the 2 shades of green and the 2 shades of blue, with the white linen. Below that are their white, gold/beige, tan-ish, hard to tell colors. But those are the neutral shades.
Here are the neutral shades. I'm pulling for white, but Fred has a problem with white. He doesn't think it's classy. We think it's because he's worked in a million restaurants with white linens and since he was on that side of things it's not classy or clean to him. BUT I'm pulling for white. Because it IS classy and clean....
I am having the hardest time uploading a picture of the table setting, but you can use your imagination for now.
