For the Bridesmaids and MOH

Done! I realized I just HAD to make a decision. And it was so easy to go round and round about it because I want to be considerate to each woman's size and shape and bank account. But in the end, I'd love you all to look cute, and kind of wearing the same thing and I've been stressing WAAAAAAAY too much over it, so here you go! Check out the size chart and, if you want to, contact the shipper. If you'd prefer to have me order all of them, I can do that, but 1 of you lives in seattle and 2 of you live in Portland and the other 2 I barely get to see, so it may be best to order it on your own.

I really like this dress because it's super cute and it has an optional shawl and shoulder straps. Shoe's are a whole different thing.

Wedding Colors

I know I bought my favors in blue and silver already, but I'm thinking about changing up the colors. To what, I do not know. But something more springtime.

I think the general theme for the wedding should be "Young love in springtime" which sounds totally gay, but you at least get the idea. And I need to figure it out before we dye the dress and before we make the invitations. Which is now.

This is a template of colors available from our wedding location, for table settings.

Dresses for the girls!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

THIS is the year I get married. What?! Crazy. But seriously, reality has smacked me in the face on Jan 1st knowing that I would be celebrating my wedding day in EXACTLY 4 MONTHS!! What happened to the time?? Everyone kept saying "you've got time" and now, I don't! Aaah!

So, back to business I guess. The MOH (Maid of Honor, duh!) is going to be the only one standing during the ceremony, so realistically she should be the only one wearing a specific dress we pick out, leaving the bridesmaids to wear what they want, right? Or no?

The bridesmaids will walk down the aisle and will be in pictures. I was thinking of doing a separate flower/corsage/boutonniere for bridal party. I don't know. If money wasn't an option for anybody (and it is for everybody) then I'd pick out different dresses in the exact same color, and same length for everyone - and it would be one they could wear again.

As of today, Kelly (MoH) and I have decided to see about dying the dress I wore in my engagement photos a blue color. I know I got my moneys-worth because I bought it at a thrift store for $7.
This is the winner

If we are able to dye it blue, that is the dress she will wear. Here's another dress I had her try on. I found it in mint condition at a thrift store for $10 (the tag is still on it, little yellow thing in the corner - not part of the dress). It's the right color and fits well, but I prefer tea length and I don't think Kelly was crazy about it.

And lastly, this may be just me showing off a bit, this is a dress I sewed. It's an olive black color with gold highlights. And it looks pretty good. Now, if we just go with, "wear whatever, who cares" then someone could wear this!

Thoughts? Theories? Zen moments of merriment and wonder? ... yeah, I don't know what that means either.
