You see, our favors are dark blue and silver, which look really nice. And honestly, if I could pay for the dresses myself, I'd like to do something like this (but with our colors):
So, I'd like to do dark blue dresses with silver accents, I think. If you want to go shopping with me (if we're in the same town at the time!) then WONDERFUL. Otherwise, I'm going to spend some time looking around for cheap/affordable dresses online or in stores. And if you find something, or a sale or whatever that you'd like to share with the other bridesmaids then let me know and I'll post it.
I'm also toying with the thought of having my mom make some of the dresses. I would love for her to be able to have a hand in the wedding and she's pretty great with the 'ol sewing machine.
Thoughts?

those dresses in that picture you posted are ADORABLE! Simple, classy, can be worn again. Totally cute. The pattern may be simple enough for Mom to tackle as long as she feels confident about it. it's worth asking. But maybe you can find something similar in stores also.
Dark blue and silver are good colors. :)
